Seamless Campus Dining: XPR Kiosks Integrate with Nōwn Meal Plan System
For colleges and universities, providing students with a fast, efficient, and cashless dining experience is essential. To streamline campus dining payments, XPR has integrated its self-ordering kiosks with the Nōwn Meal Plan System, allowing students and faculty to use their meal plans effortlessly when ordering food.
This integration enhances the checkout process, reducing wait times while ensuring a smooth and secure transaction.
How It Works
When guests walk up to an XPR Self-Ordering Kiosk, they can easily build their order. At checkout, they are presented with two payment options:
- Pay by Nōwn Meal Plan
- Pay by Credit Card
If the guest selects the Nōwn Meal Plan option, the kiosk prompts them to scan their Nōwn mobile app QR code using the built-in scanner. The system then:
- Verifies the guest’s meal plan balance
- Approves the transaction if funds are sufficient
- Displays the balance if insufficient, allowing order modification or alternate payment
Once the payment is processed, the kiosk records the transaction in the Nōwn system and prints a receipt for confirmation.
